BEST moisturizer EVER!

I planned on starting to share my journey with PPD in my next post, but I couldn't resist showing you this product. It has been an ABSOLUTE game changer. Those who know me well, know that my skin has been an area of frustration for me since about puberty. I can't use anything with fragrance, nothing too heavy and nothing with oil- and no, not even coconut oil. I’ve tried it all. I have gone from product to product in search of one that wouldn't break me out or cause irritation.
When I was pregnant with Rosie, I ran into a stubborn bout of perioral dermatitis (which I will discuss on a later post), and was convinced I couldn't use anything to moisturize my skin- leaving it dry and itchy. After putting up with it for a few months, I decided to visit my dermatologist (she’s awesome, btw). She asked if I had ever tried a "gel cream". Strangely, I actually hadn’t, so she gave me a tiny sample tube of this little miracle.
Like any other product I had used, I was skeptical, but within a week (no joke) I noticed my skin change DRASTICALLY. AND the beautiful part was that it didn't get worse before it got better. It just got better!

Here it is. Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream  (LINK TO AMAZON)

And here I am without makeup (obvi). I wish I had a "before" picture to show you, but I didn't have very high hopes since nothing else has ever worked this well. My skin before this product was very, very uneven, dry, and splotchy. I still have some residual scarring from past break outs, but it is overall SOOOOO much better.

Below is with makeup, but JUST powder, no filters, and natural light. I stopped using anything liquid (other than the occasional concealer) on my face. I will share my favorite powder and face makeup products in a later post.

My sister has always had great skin in my eyes, but she has also complained of dryness and breakouts (as well as perioral dermatitis) lately and decided to give it a try, she is IN LOVE with it too!

No flakiness or heaviness under her make up either.

Just wanted to also note that I have not been paid by Neutrogena to try this, or post this. I am just that in love with this stuff. As always, any questions? Let me know!
